Comprehensive Assessment of the Effectiveness of the Use of Alpha-lipoic Acid and Ipidacrine Hydrochloride for the Prevention of Paclitaxel-indused Peripheral Neuropathy in Breast Cancer Patients

Abstract. Almost 97% of women undergoing chemotherapy with paclitaxel for breast cancer suffer from symptoms peripheral neuropathy, the severity which directly depends on single, cumulative dose and duration infusion agent. Neurological manifestations paclitaxel-induced such as bilateral numbness, neuropathic pain paresthesias in distal parts limbs, often lead to need reduce doses, up refusal taxanes, negatively affects immediate long-term results treatment. Despite numerous scientific studies, there are no known means prevention chemotherapy-induced neuropathy. Of more than 20 drugs studied so far none has shown sustained systemic clinically significant results.
 The aim study: assess effectiveness combination alpha-lipoic acid acetylcholinesterase inhibitor ipidacrine hydrochloride neuropathy patients.
